I have a 00 M roadster and have always like the look of the Boxter S. What do you Boxter owners think of the M roadster in terms of acceleration, style, marque value, handling?

THE AMG SLK32....250hp doesnt cut it ANYMORE!

MZ3's(315hp) by over 4.7 seconds on the track. The drivers were also advanced drivers. 250hp definetly cuts it when its attached to a midengined design and big porsche brakes. Anyways, its very easy to get more HP out of the boxster.a 30HP increase is simple to get. Also, you can put in a 3.4L and supercharge it.

This guy has been banned from other forums.
His clueless and inflammatory posts are eventually deleted and so are the replies.

Don't waste your energy trying to talk sense into him!

where can I see a dyno chart of a Boxster before and after those 3 mods, to see the ~25RWHP increase(translated to 30hp at crank)??

J... I've followed your posts on the E39 board for a while... sort of
sorry to see you leave, but I'm here at a friend's house (he has a '97
Boxter) and he's considering a supercharger... 2 questions... 1. would
you recommend it; 2. could you please provide links to other Porsche
boards...

From everything I have read, Robert is the man for mods! He's modded his "S" for more HP; I'd trust his opinion on a SC.

There are a few people on the board Robert mentioned who have supercharged their 2.5's, I think with decent results... but it sounds like its a bit experimental still.

If you need the address of the other Boxster boards, email me.

I do miss my 5er sometimes!

i know quite a few 2.5L owners that have supercharged their 2.5L. the performance isnt up to stock 3.2L S performance but it is close. I know of no one that has supercharged a the 3.2L yet. The TPC supercharger kit is OK, hardwarewise. I have a friend that installs them and he says that no two kits that he gets are the same. They are alsways improving the design. But, overall he says the quality of the plumbing that is included could be better. As for Longevity, the are two guys, Cecil and Milo on Porsche Petes (986board.com) that both have supercharged their Boxsters and they could give you a better insight into living with a supercharged Boxster than I could.

I have a 1999 ///MRoadster. I have a Jim Conforti chip and cold air intake. I also have a Ground Control suspension on the car. At Laguna Seca a friend driving a Porsche Boxster S told me that he could not pass me between turn eleven and turn one because I was pulling on him. He also could not pass me in the corners.

I have ridden in several Boxsters. I think they are great cars. They handle very nutural. I like them. I do think Porsche overstated the torque and horse power however.

A Boxster 2.7, not to mention an S, can out accelerate an M Roadster.....but only when you are going say 140mph! Otherwise, the M roadster is faster, and will be even more when the 333hp engine starts to be put in.
My only complaint about the M roadster is the styling (love or hate) and the slightly outdated chassis.

But hey, who cares about speed? It matters if the car is fun to drive or not.
