yeah definitely.

I think 993 was designed with less compromise than 996...especially considering the 996 uses components from the "cheaper" boxster (which was created more to a budget I'd imagine).

One thing that brings it home for me (however pedantic) is the door handles!...on the 993, they're a solid, detailed item...but on the 996, those things could have come off a ford! (sorry ford fans).

A friend of mine has owned both and he says...993 feels like it's a complete unit, whereas the 996 feels like a porsche built by BMW! enough said!.

Plus...the 993 factory racers are just wild, whereas the 996 models are a bit sedate (relatively speaking)...

that Porsche will ever create and from my opinion is close to perfect. How many car have the luxury of being developed for more than 25 years? Its still the pure Porsche!
