Yeah, it the black book values for the dealers....My dealer quoted me a avg price on my vehicle versus clean versus extra clean value. My car was definitely extra clean and the dealer told me that, but offered me avg wholesale price.....cant wait to show this to him when I do trade this vehicle in.....At least I have something to go by.....

Thanks for the info. Based on the post here are the lessons Learned: The only 3 series options that do not lose all the value are Sport Package, Sunroof and CD. For those always debate leather over leatherette, a car with leather will lose over $1000 (retail) once it is drive off the lot. Luxury options such as power seat, Nav, wood trim, HK and suprisingly Xenon equal to $0.00. Based on this, a used 98 loaded E36 M3 is valued just a hair over an stripped M3. This will probably happen to the E46 M3 so don't believe that when selling (in terms of trade-in) a more optioned E46 M3 will bring you more $, it just means you'll lose more $$$$$. For people who don't plan to keep their M3 too long, they should stick with leasing or with lightly optioned M3 IMO.
