After doing the corrections on the wheel and tire combo, we figured I was at 161mph. Speedo must be off. Tach was at roughly 6300. I backed out at 165 so now I'm wondering what the car could have done....

His tach said 6300 in 6th gear. That equates to 162.75 mph. From many reports it seems the M3 limiter is about 10-15 mph higher than the usual 155.

M3 is speed limited at 155 mph. I'm sure with speedo error, it may have read higher, but limiting way above 155 adds in a gas guzzler tax kicker that none of us have paid. By the way, I don't believe, and I can be wrong, that there are any chips that allow a higher speed. Yet.
