Unless you live in, or are planning to visit, a MAJOR metropolitan area, this option is useless. It lacks detailed streets and roads for all small- and medium-sized cities. (And if you live in a rural community, consider yourself lucky if even one road is mapped.)

Yesterday on the board, someone described it as a "neat toy". Unfortunately, it costs almost $2000, far too much for a toy that should be a lot better than it is.

That is one stupid option.
That NAV. lady think too much, too long and too often that she will still thinking until you miss the street then think again and tell you to U-turn.
If you don't plan to upgrade the audio systerm.
Then it is a nice looking show piece.
But if you will think to do upgrade!
GO FOR THE AFTERMARKET :)
that $2000 can do a lot more out there.

it's a sports car and how much time are you going to be driving it across country...plus I'll busy shifting and enjoying the car instead of adjusting the nav. 2nd I think nav should be only for luxuary cars...believe me I can use that $1800 for some nice set of wheels or upgrade the sound system....just my .02

THE POINT IS :
YOU WANT A SHOW PIECE OR YOU WANT SOMETHING WILL BRING YOU TO WHERE YOU WANT WITHOUT PISSING YOU OFF?

I have used it in Germany and it is so much easier to folw out a map and find where you want to go. IMO the process of entering the data with one knob is not friendly. Plus the Nav screen becomes involved in radio functions and actually makes it harder to operate the radio. And yes, the detailed map data is lacking for many locations. If you just need a nav system buy a handheld device.

Depends on what you do in your car and where you live... I personally would recommend it to anyone who goes out a lot to new places and lives in a big metro area.
