My 83 911SC odometer just stopped. I've pulled it to check the connections, but don't see anything loose. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The sensor on the transmission can be checked by removing the tunnel cover behind the front seats, disconnect the flat male plugs in the tunnel, connect a 12V buzzer to the portion of the plug coming from transmission, lift the car at the rear axle and lock the left wheel, rotate the right wheel by hand, the buzzer should activate 8 times per 2 revolutions of the wheel, if not replace the sensor.
If you have a limited slip diff fitted you dont have to lock the left wheel and the buzzer should activate 8 times for 1 revolution of the rear wheel.
Hope this helps.

Take it to a speedo shop and have it repaired. It's a very common problem.
