I have a 911sc (1980) and they have the original 16 x 6 in the fronts and 16 x 7 in the back.

I never take the car on the track just drive it for fun a few days a week. Just want to know if the forged wheels are worth it vs. the replicas which are a fraction of the price. I am planning on upgrading to 7s in the front and 8s in the back. One more question. Is there a big difference in 8s and 9s... which look better?

I find it to be far more comfortable knowing that I have forged wheels under me as opposed to a cast wheel.
The 7's and 8's will look great on your car, the 8's and 9's are too wide.

The forged wheels are lighter than the cast wheels, but just as strong if not stronger. If you don't race the only differance you may feel is a change in the ride due to the increase in unsprung weight.
