Hi,
(visiting from the bmw 2002 board, I have my car, now wife wants hers)
We are going to see a 1963 Porsche 356 B.
The ad says 'complete and original' and he is asking $8,500.
I am not familiar with these cars yet.
What shouild we be looking for?
I imagine mechanical condition and body condition are the major
factors.
Any tips that you folks can offer are appreciated.
Thank you.
Dan

PROBLEM . SINCE THE 356 IS UNIT BODY AND THE PANS CANNOT BE REMOVED ,
( LIKE A VOLKSWAGEN ) THE REPAIRS ARE ALL THE MORE DIFFICULT AND COSTLY . C H E C K T H E B O T T O M S I D E !
A SURPRISING NUMBER OF ORIGONAL AND REPRODUCTION PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND THESE CARS DO ENJOY A LOYAL FOLLOWING .
THE DRIVETRAINS ARE RELIABLE BUT CAN RUN INTO SOME MONEY TO
IRON OUT . DONE RIGHT , THEY ARE A LOT OF FUN TO DRIVE !
SOUNDS LIKE I AM DESCRIBING A 2002 ?
YOUR '02 SHOULD BE IN GOOD COMPANY .
