my gf's dad had purchased a 745i sametime at the same dealership. Today, the car won't start, roadside asssistance was called and he was told no dealership would take his car until monday. Therefore, it need to be stored at a temp location??? Call the dealership we purchased the car from (Habbestead BMW) and he was told that there were no techs that can look at that car?!?!?!? And there are no loaners avilable! So now he will out of a car until monday!!!

Now he will try to call customer service and see what could be done....I just don't understand why BMW must make this so hard on the owners to get good customer service?!?!

I agree, BMW has done this to me twice, i really hate their service!

I would imagine that service would be better if you owned a 7 series...i guess not!<br><center><img src="http://mail.roadfly.org/marwan/spiderman.gif"></img></center>

to find one more-US oriented for better--->

customer-oriented service. I drive 60 miles
further to get the more
friendly US-type service and get far away from that pure arrogance
demonstated at the BMW dealership in my area. The arrogant
dealers seem to feel that the BMW is perfect and if you
got a problem with it, that is the owners fault, period.

If nothing else they should have snatched a demo away from a salesman and let HIM walk.

Also, somebody at the dealership should be able to at least open the service area and accept the car.

I'm sure this is not BMW's policy, just that of a jack-[Oops!] dealer.

I have an M3 as well as a Mercedes.

In my experience BMW does not care about customer service, where as Mercedes makes a big effort to treat their customers with respect.

Eurocar in Bethesda, MD. Service is much more dealer dependent than brand dependent IMHO.
