It's a straight tru design, and does no actual silencing.

the Eisenhaus website..Anyhow, the purpose of exchanging the intermediate silencer is;
to increase the air capacity - quicker throttle response and better air - flow.
This product will also further help getting rid of the raspy sound and adding more deep and powerful sound note to your exhaust system.

I think it works really well with the exhaust and it is not too expensive(~$375 retail price)..I'm getting it cheaper with my exhaust from a package deal as I'm doing a group buy=)

Having tried the car with and without the resonator, I didn't find it effected power one way or the other much, or the sound outside of the car. It does prevent the droning resonance a long connecting pipe introcduces in the car. I don't mind the drone in my cab, as the cockpit sound level is higher than the coupe. My guess is that folks with coupes would find it annoying though.
