I am in the market to get a second vehicle to go with the M3. I have narrowed it down to the new 2003 Mercedes E500, or the 2003 Range Rover. Which one would you get?

I think the Range Rover would give you a more diverse vehicle mix. A truck type vehicle to go with the M3 gives you something to go camping in, or tow a boat or utility trailer, haul building supplies or go hunting or skiing, and all-wheel drive for winter conditions. But, it depends on if any of these things are important to you. I have a M-B ML to go with my M3, and it's a good mix for me.

i have a 2nd car for snowboarding, so the obvious choice was an SUV, the Landrover and these 2 cars are a really good mix for me...

I always loved the G500, it is one of my favorite cars. I drove one for one week and it was amazing, but this new Range Rover is just beautiful. But then again its a Ford :).

I think RR is better unless you are getting a vehicle to go off road in which G500 would be better of the two.

I sold my 02 RR HSE to get my M3, but I loved every minute of owning the RR. It's prowess off road is second to none, literally and figurativley (sp?)'s been proven over and over again.

Unfortunatly I despise the new RR, and several 'traditionalist' RR lovers agree. It seems like as soon as a North American company got a hold of it, they had to make it look like ALL the other friggin SUV's in this continent. Such a shame.

Er.....sorry for the All just my .02 cents worth!

My friend has both RR and G500, but his G500 outperforms the RR offroad wherever he took them before.
