Alternator convertion 1964 Cooper-We are in the process of converting our 1964 Mini cooper to run on an alternator. The wiring is complete but when I picked up a reworked alternator from Halfords it had 4 terminals , 2 large connections which are coupled together so they go the the old dynamo output connection and the sensor to the ignition light goes to one of the other 2 small connections- but which one and then what is the 4th connection for?.
One of the small connections is next to the 2 large connections so I think thats the ignition light sensor - who can confirm this and advise on the 4th connection-?
