If I take good care of the car should I expect the book value to be above or below my residual at the end of my 24 or 30 month lease? I'm picking her up tomorrow and trying to decide on which lease term.

Having turned in two leased cars, the only thing they seem to car about, as far as value goes, is mileage. I.e., if you stay under the mileage alloted, the car's intrinsic value is higher.

The inspectors ignored dings, tire condition, maintenance records, etc. Once they saw the mileage was under, they were totally jazzed.
