I am working with my dealer to get Birchwood trim added to my CB/BLK '03. I used the search and found one pic - anyone have any more photos of this trim or better yet, color combo?

Thanks in advance-

I appreciate it though. I also like the Maple that you installed in your car - very, very nice.

and may be easier to get than individual woods.

If you get any order codes, please let me know.

Birch Wood as well as Birch Anthracite, we'll have to see. What do you think of the Black interior / Birch combination?

Thanks Again,

From Steve's photos it looks pretty good. Don't know if I'd pick it
for myself... would need to be feeling bold.

I don't care for the non-natural colored woods, so the Anthacite
doesn't pique my interest at all.

I was really surprised with how good Agent7's Eucalyptus looks.
BMWNA told me it was a nasty greenish color and that was the reason
they were protecting the USA from ordering it.

Is a shift knob and brake handle available in Birch? I
really like the half wood - half leather shifters. Wasn't
sure I was going to like the brake handle, but am very glad now that
I ordered it.

It did look really good. The reason I asked about the additional pictures is exactly the reason you mention. I'm not sure if it is for me either, thatís why I like some additional shots. What I am sure of is that I would like to get something in the wood family, Iím not sure which (my wife already vetoed the Anthacite) yours looks very nice as well -

As for the shifter / brake, I am not sure. I sent an e-mail to BMWNA and spoke to my salesman today. Hopefully I'll hear something in the next few days. If I can get it for $700 like Agent7 I'll do it, but I'll have to wait and see.

Next week I'll be in Spain and there's a dealer close to where I stay, I may stop in and inquire about price / delivery. Too bad the Euro is high right now....

In any case I'll keep you posted -

I got birch directly from the dealer in Munich when I was there last month. Unfortuantely the parts didn't arrive before I left, so I won't have them in hand until next weekend. From what the dealer said, the ONLY BMW Individual wood trim that can be ordered is the black birch. If I could have ordered it, I would have gone for the blue birch (I have a topaz cab/gray interior).

First, for natural birch, there is no parking brake handle.

Second, the only natural birch shift knob has a 5 speed pattern.

With that said, here are the part numbers and pricing in Euro from the 2002 German accessories catalog (left/right for the last three digits):

E46 Coupe:
51 41 7 049 216 - 3 dash pieces - 163.50
51 16 7 052 055 - Shift panel trim - 59.50
51 41 7 050 643/644 - Front Arm Rests, black - 167.50
51 43 7 053 043/044 - Rear Arm Rests, black - 147.00
51 41 7 050 645/646 - Front Arm Rests, beige - 167.50
51 43 7 053 045/046 - Rear Arm Rests, beige - 147.00
51 41 7 050 647/648 - Front Arm Rests, gray - 167.50
51 43 7 053 047/048 - Rear Arm Rests, gray - 147.50

E46 Cabrio - Same dash and forward armrest as coupe
51 16 7 052 056 - Shift panel trim - 59.50
51 43 7 055 529/530 - Rear Arm Rests, Black - 147.00
51 43 7 055 531/532 - Rear Arm Rests, Beige - 147.00
51 43 7 055 533/534 - Rear Arm Rests, Beige - 147.00

Once I get my pieces installed, I will post pictures. I also got the european cab alarm, so that will be an interesting install as well.
