I got my policy thru www.ehealthinsurance.com. For myself, I pay around $120 per month. Primiums will be different based off of a bunch of criteria. Your best bet is to shop around.

I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield (of Texas) PPO. It's kind of cross between a PPO and HMO. It pays for normal doctor visits with a copay of $15, but has a $1500 annual deduct for other services. $20/copay on drugs. I'm in the 35-39 age group and pay $132/month...it was $120 last year when I was in the 30-34 group. I beleive my rate is a smokers rate (I don't smoke, but I do get my nicotine in other ways).

My plan is right in the middle of what they offer individuals in Texas, you can get lots of other plans...but this one was the best balance of premium vs coverage for my tastes.

Do NOT go for one day without health insurance if you can avoid it. Go get a Golden Rule temporary policy.
