long story short...their E46 kit came out about a year ago and jeff tells me it's ready. i drive down and pay $6,000.00 for it.

after its installed, i find out that there's no software or injectors. drive a few miles and boom, check engine light.

i talk to osh, he says he'll transport my car down and finish the job. they have my car for about a month. i get it back, boom, check engine light. get it dynoed...horrible air/fuel.

they tell me they're working on it and will send me an update when its ready. months go by and my car gets worse. they send me to dynospot and give me an update. but still...check engine light.

osh says he'll come up here to tune it but got too busy and that never came through....

osh offers to transport my car down again and says he'll need it for 5 working days. well...i get my car back and what do you know check engine light...AGAIN!!!

now they've always been courteous to me which is partly why i kept letting them tune my car...

but now it's been almost a year and i'm frustrated. they're working on everyone elses' car but mine. now osh says he wants my car again for 3 or 4 weeks....

i've asked for a refund because i think thats fair. i paid for a completed kit and i never got it. although osh has spent money of his own to transport my car down and stuff but that really wasn't my fault.

help me out here guys...give them a call or something

i am seriously unhappy with all this waiting i just want the kit outta my car and a refund. if you think a refund is unreasonable please let me know...osh says its unreasonable.

btw i have a 2000 323ci

i'm posting here bc i know that they've moved on to the m-series and pretty much left me in the cold...atleast that's how i feel :(

if things work out for me i'll let you guys know.

I wish the BBB report was more specific as to how many and what kind of complaints were filed. Saying all of that however, just the fact that they have an "unsatisfactory business record" is enough for me to steer clear of RMS! I know that with me, and probably most people here, I would only call the BBB if I was EXTREMELY disatisfied with a business. I believe most people only use them as a last resort, and usually with expectations of some sort of legal action. That really bites...

I believe you can call them to find out about specific complaints. (There is a # on the report) Much like someone not posting to the BBB unless some company REALLY screwed them, I think the BBB wants people who are truly interested in reasons for a certain rating to call before they give that info out. Probably legal or something...

I'm not completely sure if they handle situations like this, but you may want to try the Federal Trade Comission if you get nowhere with RMS. You may want to speak with a lawyer. I know lawyers are expensive, but it may only take a letter to get RMS into action. Regardless, I'm really sorry to hear about your troubles. You sound like a very nice guy and you CERTAINLY have been more than patient enough! Basicaly, you paid alot of money, and you're car has been more or less out of commission for a year. Don't accept ANYTHING short of 100% satisfaction. Rough running, poor a/f ratios, the check engine light and any other drivability/performance issues are ENTIRELY unacceptable. They certainly advertise their supercharger sysytem as being perfectly reliable and driveable! Look at their website! Obviously they're doing it right on some cars since they are "so busy". Unfortunately, the old adage that "Good guys come in last" may be the case here. Same with "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". It's not fun being an as*hole, but sometimes it's necessary. I'm genuinely hoping that it will be resolved by RMS fixing/tuning your car properly, with no reliabilty or drivability issues whatsoever. Best of luck bud...

P.S., This sounds an awful lot like the problems Viper owners are having with Hennessey Motorsports. Supposedly, a customer had his car there for something like six months, and he found out that his car was not only not being worked on, but it had turned into a donor car for other customers Vipers!!! Can you imagine!?!? Who has that auto-Glock?!?
