Just wondered if anyone had any experience with Long Beach BMW in Ca.
How was the pricing on M3? Anything included other than floor mats like an alarm system?

Did he get you a good deal?

Rich Patrei was my sales guy. He's a good guy, and the dealership doesn't play games. However, I would recommend you exhaust all your 3rd party financing/leasing options because they probably won't cut you a 'great' deal in that respect, however you'll get the car at MSRP with decent rates... and there's a long waitlist (unless you get lucky and someone drops out).

anyway, they're one of the better no hassle dealers with good service techs. Go for it

Thanks for the info!

I called 20 dealers within an a 65 mile radius of where I live (back in august and september when I was researching the car) and 17 wanted between $2500 and $6000 over MSRP for the M. Long Beach, Glendale Pacific BMW and Steve Thomas were the only ones who promised MSRP striaght up over the phone. But all had long waitlists

have to ask! AT MSRP in April 2002.

What's happeing recently? Still at MSRP or lower?

me! :)

I got a good rate on a pruchase. I did have a good rate from a local credit union. They topped in in a combination of rates and lenths of loan.

They're service staff is good and knowledgable.

I am working with Robert Behr. I ordered:

2003 M3
Titanium Silver/Black leather
premium pkg
Xenon lights
Harmon Kardon
19in wheels
and Alum. trim

He is selling at MSRP with floormats.

asking Rich in about a month when I change oil. Always good to hear what's happening.

If you do get the car there, you'll have a mot of fun hen they deliver you the car on the 'raised' platform near the service bays. It's like being handed a silver platter. Surreal experience.

I can't wait! Supposed to be mid to late May for pick up.

No waiting list. Right now they have 5 M3 allocations for April production at MSRP. I gave Robert Behr 1K and he ordered the car the same day (2/2/03).

Rich Patrei is the salesman to talk to. The service is excellent there too.

Rich P. You'll have lots of fun when the car arrives. make sure you track it through the bmwusa site. That's a lot of anticipation and fun there!

Good luck.

1) take your time. they spenmd quite a while explaining the car and it's features to you. Expect about 2 hours for the whole thing.

2) have some funding already set up. Many banks, credit unions, etc. can pre-approve you for the amount and rates before you pick up the car. then when you're there and they introduce the finance guy and he offers you another finance/lease program you have something to barter with. It helped me!

3) take pictures

4) be careful driving home! If you have SMG - I forgot if you chose it - then practice before you take it for granted. I left the radio on and didn't notice the engine revving to 6K during breakin!

have fun.
