Trex (I'd vote for the V-8)

On page 3 of the March 17, 2003 issue, AutoWeek indicates that if BMW starts using the even numbers for coupes (like the new 6 series based on the sedan 5 series), then there might not be a new M3. It will be an M4. They also say that the company is divided between those who want the new generation M to be "balanced" with a straight six and those who want crushing performance with a V-8. That V-8 would probably be a chopped version of the V-10 scheduled for the new 5 series.
