I need some help from fellow Austin M3 owners...

We are looking for some good roads to see the hill country and to take some bluebonnet pictures with my son.

Thanks.

The quintessential Austin road is the well-travelled Lime Creek Road in NW Austin. Nice narrow switchbacks, plenty of curves, and quite a few opportunities for a breathtaking view. Not many opportunities to stop the car and enjoy the sights or picturetaking, however.

Take 183N out of Austin and turn left at Anderson Mill (Burger King and the Half Price Books). Follow Anderson Mill as it crosses 620 and keep going a ways. You'll hit Volente and make basically a mandatory right turn onto Lime Creek Road (it's marked). Drive until you get to the giant gravelly area (it's about a 20 minute drive at a modest relaxed pace). From here you can either turn around and go back (whee) or head up another 1/4 mile, hang a right, and be back on 183 in a few minutes.
