or SSR Comps?

I\'m shopping for wheels for my 540, love the look of the Breyton Visions, but I read what you said about the weight savings of the SSR Comps. Now what do you have? Could have sworn they were Breyton Visions.

Do you think 18\'s would be too harsh a jump in a stock 540(from stock 15inch wheels), or would I appreciate the taught feel and handling? Thanks for any input!

Sorry for my ignorance. Actually, I thought the SSR comps are a nice look for any application.
I forget the model number of HRE's he has (540?). HRE has general designs and then custom builds wheels around those to customer specs (e.g. offset, lip depths, finish, etc.).
SSR Comps are what he runs on the track - A lot of guys like the Comps for track (or street) as they are light and fairly inexpensive. I think they look pretty good as well (but that is obviously subjective).

I knew it was a brand, but haven\'t seen them at TireRack, for example. I remember Steve talking about the Matte black finish, which is awesome.. that must have been on the HREs. It\'d look nice on my white 540 with all the black trim it carries. I\'ll go look them up.

Again, sorry for my ignorance, thanks for the heads up. This is the first I\'ve really paid attention to the wheel discussions..
scary how much we all know about each others cars - especially yours - wish you'd add it to my gallery one of these days.

He also used to have the SSR GT3s on his older TiSi M3 if I remember correctly.
