I raced this car from a stop light on four occasions near my home (I drive a VW Corrado). Excellent car, had manufacturer license plates and a gentleman in a suit driving here in Southern Orange County, California. I would say the 0-60 time is actually slightly quicker than the claimed 6.3 seconds, at least on this particular car. Launches were tirespin free in his lane with excellent heave off the line. 1/4 mile time would be in the mid-high 14's and around 94-96 MPH. Fast for a large car with a not-so-large motor. Six-speed really keeps acceleration brisk, though he wasn't much of a match in higher speed ranges (100 MPH plus). It was close enough down low that we needed to try again and again each light. I could only pull about 1/2 car length on him (Nearly stock VR6; Not my project car!) to about 70 MPH and another half car to about 90. Then I pulled-away constistently until he would give up. Kudos to Ford; Decent job this time, Guys!
