Just wondering how fast the 6er will be (after driving a Z4 the last few days, which has far fewer Hp/lb) than the 645Ci.

Q: If the Z4 can do 0-60 in 5.9 sec. with 225 hp (and 214 lb-ft) per 3000 lbs. [BMW specs], what can a 645Ci do with almost 50% more power (325 hp and 330 lb-ft) and only 20% added mass (3500 lbs.)?

Z4 (3.0l) = 225 hp/3000 lb = 0.075
645Ci = 325 hp/3500 lb = 0.093 (24% better ratio than the 3 liter Z4)

-----------
"featuring fully variable VALVETRONIC valve control, the engine develops 325-horsepower and 330 lb-ft of powerful torque at 3,600 rpm. This enables the new 6 Series Coupe to effortlessly reach its top speed of 149 mph (electronically limited). Acceleration is equally good, with the BMW 645Ci covering the sprint from 0-60 mph in well under six seconds."

The heavier 745i (4300 lbs) does between 5.9-6.2 secs.
The lighter M3 (3400 lbs) does 4.7-5.0 secs.
The M3 has almost 10 more HP though.
I would guess the 645Ci 0-60 at about 5.3-5.4 secs. I read where BMW expected 0-62mph at 5.6, so the 0-60 should be at least a few 10ths faster.
