With 35k miles on my car, I am still 4k miles away from my next oil service, thus at a maximum, I am 19k miles away from Inspection 2. If I buy the extended maintenance warranty (to 4yr/50k), Inspection 2 will not likely be covered.

I already had the front rotors replaced, so I am not too worried about paying for a brake job out of pocket.

What else could come up in the next 15k miles that could get covered under the extended maintenance warranty?

Is it worth it to buy it?
i bought mine when i bought the car as i was running quite a few more miles back then - 2.5 years in with 17K miles I seriously doubt I will get any use out of it...

come up that I'm not thinking of beyond Inspection2 and the brakes?

I'm leaning towards your thinking on it, but just want to be absolutely certain.
inspection II? I thought I heard someone say that would only cover another oil change, for instance, but not inspection II.

unique to each car/driver. Apparently, I have not been driving hard enough.
Inspection II is NOT included in the extended maintenance at 4yr/50k. I asked my BMW service advisor specifically this.

will not be covered? I thought that's what I'd heard. Basically, you can't wait until just before you get to 36k, try to guess whether you'll hit inpection II by 50k, and then go buy the extended maintenance if you think you'll hit it. If dealers allowed this, they'd automatically be losing money because you can get the extended maintenance for around $400, right?

NOT. It depends on driving style (actually gas consumption). Your SA is talking about the 15k miles countdown. That countdown speeds up depending on gas consumption. The harder you drive, the faster it counts down.
the warranty as long as I was under 36k miles. Doesn't matter how much under....just under.
