$78 x 1000 = $78,000.....oh well, it's only $78 and it will get me 5 hp. Of course, I'll never dyno my car and it's only $78 and it promises 5 hp and my butt will really feel the increase in power.

30 years ago they advertised the "tornado" for cars and they are still in business. Why is that? It's been shown that there really isn't any increase in hp. Why are they still in business?

This whole "gizmo" thing for some reason brings to mind PT Barnum.

Dang, I wish I had come up with a 5 hp part.....

Oh well, just a bit grumpy today with a cold.

a buck for each one! ROFL!

Somebody posted that JM only had ~100 of them to sell...

Look at the dyno below and then head on over to the E38 lounge for a bit. You'll feel better, grumpy.

78...probably 35-50 bucks in machining each...just a guess...maybe less...dunno how much the chemical milling costs...he'll probably be lucky to get his R&D outlay back...wont get his R&D labor back until he finishes the full intake...just guessin.

Tapp'n my toe...hey Jay, where's my overnight envelope man? hehe<br><img src=http://members.roadfly.org/txse46m3/haha.gif height=98 width=152>

I feel that JC (Jay) at Ground Control has been building customer trust from day one, thus most people feel that if he advertises 5HP then he means 5HP. just my 2 cents.

Now wait, I'm an Oregonian, I dont know diddly about Mechanics, electronics, physics, or thrust dynamics. But there are a lot of knowledgeable guys here that have spent a lot of time and effort on this project, it seems, and they've put out a product for 84 clams delivered in a neat little package with instructions for a dummy like me. If it gives any increase in butt HP, I'll be truly impressed. If it doesn't and I want to take it back out, I'll likely put it up on my mantle and look at it(with the Cabana Boy poster I have in the background)and see what houseguests think it is when I quiz them..

I'm going for it just in case there's something I might miss out on:) Plus it's a great conversation piece. I'm gonna take my air housing apart and show it to people, tell them all about it, take pics, etc..

Just enjoy the day and the car however you can, man. Maybe we'll do an Oregon group drive soon and I'll show you how it kicks azz!

Cheers,

1.8% of 3780 lbs for a cab is 68 lbs worth of weight loss..I dunno if these numbers equate, but if HP/weight ratios mean anything, I'll take the equivalent of a 68 lb loss any day..
