I have arbella mutual. I am pleased with them. Car insurance is the same price everywhere in MA so it boils down wich company offers the best service.

and second, go with amica -- they have great customer service and also don't cheap out when push comes to shove.

had a poor experience with them when I had my accident. Not going to go into the details, but many here will attest to it.

no nonsense, and very quick payout. they didn't even flinch when reimbursing me for two of my hre's, either.

also, the guys at foreign motors west (who have to deal with insurance companies as a matter of course) breathed a huge sigh of relief when i told them i had amica and said that they were one of the best-run and most reasonable insurance companies they've ever dealt with.

rates at the time were 5400 for 3 cars...I know have 4 cars.. (More expensive ones too) and pay less than 1/2 that for more coverage!!! MA & NJ are the 2 worst in the country cause the state is involved.

USAA is good for auto policy only, but if you want to wrap all of our insurance needs under one carrier then look at State Farm or some other company. USAA doesn't give multi-line discounts which could save you some serious bucks across the board.

I like USAA, but they charge non-military personnel higher rates, and don't offer multi-line discounts. They used to be more competitive when it was offered for officers and their families only. Now that they offer for enlisted as well, their accident rates will fall in line with other large carriers due to the larger number of insured. It's not the enlisted fault either, I think USAA has taken some major hits due to that fact that the majority of their retired customers live in hurricane prone areas.

I switched from USAA to State Farm (my spouses carrier) for coverage on my car. We ended up saving more $$$.
