I forgot all about that. I learned to drive on a 240D, is yours a 4 speed? I miss that car.

Here's a pic when the car was only a few years old (and I was just a bit younger than the car):

is that #1 injector 'wet' from leaking return hoses ?
I take a poll of all the New BMW transport drivers when they
are unloading new Bim's and MINI's at work - what they use for oil and fuel additives:
MOBIL DELVAC or DELO is mentioned 90% of the time.

I'm switching over to MOBIL 1 DELVAC 5W/40 in the spring
and add REDLINE 85PLUS to every diesel fuel fill up.

Whats the mileage and history on your 240 ?How's your shifting ? is it an Auto ?

please don't transplant a FORD SHO lump into your W123 .

Keep the fuel clean ,

Happy New Year .

It is a four speed manual car, just turned 203K. The small return lines are indeed wet, should I get new ones from the dealer? Also just did a oil service and new fuel filters. I switched to Mobil 1 15-50. I bought a case of six and didnt realize the car holds seven quarts! LOL. I also broke a vacume line and she wont shut down with the key, have to do it manually....good thing I have the 02. Guess it's off to the dealer to get the little part. I am learning quickly. Will post pics soon, happy new year -a

p.s It has manual windows also, & no sunroof!
