What is the difference between the electronic 745i tranny and let's say one from a late 635 or L6 with the electronic shift option?

A clutch in 745 has one extra friction, piston in D clutch is different, and usually the clutch has one extra friction. Biggest difference is that the 745 has a bigger bell housing and uses a bigger torque converter.
Valve body is different, i.e., some of the springs are different and are calibrated for the 745 shift points.
Othewise the same for all intents and purposes.
