Why destroy a design that was good-looking? Mercedes is preserving older desings and simply evolving them...just like Audi does.

Now...if BMW didn't have to make a "brand new species" of the 7, 5 and 6...we'd really see more of these sold faster.

I wonder what bmw enthusiasts would say if Bangle had been inspired by the A-class.
By the way the original A-class was a total revolution for mercedes,a much bolder and avantgardist step than everything bmw has done in the last five years.And mercedes loyalists did respect that,they would even have respected a 7er style rear end on the S-class or I-drive.
Im happy BMw did not make an A-class style mini van or a downsized e46 or a retro 2002.Looks like they did everything right.
