So I drove an M3 the other day that has the Dinan software in it and I have to say that it is really nice. I dont know if there was a power gain, but the most noticeable thing was how smooth the car was. It got rid of all the "Jerkyness" that the M3 has. The car behaved more like a 330i with 100 more hp.

The throttle input was very smooth and direct. The difference between sport mode and non sport mode was less drastic.

For the money I would get it. I mean it's only $500, compared to other software out there, (I dont care what they claim) you can't get software that will make power for under $2000.

So I guess I look at this as a nice upgrade to make the M3 more civilized. I will say this, that after driving that car and getting back into mine, I can comapre it to a race horse to a wild stallion. While they are both fast they feel different, even though they may be the same animal.
