I just realized I forgot to include my bank's 1099-INT and I filed my taxes last week w/TAXCUT software. What to do? How much do I get penalized?

It's already reported to IRS anyhow, not like you are witholding earnings. You might get a letter asking to send it in.<img src="">

and I would think there'd be no penalty. presumably you would send in a little extra $$$ to cover the difference

just a guess though

there's no penalty. Don't forget your state as well.

Should I ignore it?

tax. 25% bracket is $11. Forget about it. Let IRS bill you if they want to mess with it. My bet is you'll never heard from them.

as long as u filed the $43 on line 8A of your 1040. Under 1,500 I wouldn't worry.

I got a 1099 from the band I play with, but the accountant sent me the "Retain for Your Records" part instead of the "File with Federal Income Tax" part. I called the acct, and she said that it has been filed with IRS anyway and to simply report the amount on the "other income" line.

If that situation applies to you, I think you're okay.
(DISCLAIMER: I am not an accountant, and I can't add and subtract without getting a nosebleed, so professional advice/confirmation is probably called for.)

If more, you may get a notice. Not enough to worry about, but is you want to fix, just file 1040x before 4/15 and pay the difference.
