Hi,
Anyone else's escalade have a delay in movement when you depress the accelerator?? It mostly happens when stopped at a stop light, depress the gas slightly the vehicle doesnt move for about a second or so. There is also a clunk when the thing begins to move.

Also when accelerating hard from first to second there is a squeeking noise coming from the engine.

The car was in for service a couple of weeks ago, they supposedly added transmission fluid. That helped both problems for a couple of days or so. It has started again

Anyone have any suggestions??

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I'll look at my repair records and see. They fixed it under warranty, but it did exactly the same thing.

Luckily, the service adviser had seen it on one other, and had spent quite a bit of time on that one trouble-shooting it, so when I came in, they knew right what to do.

I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.

... just had mine in for service to address this. A simple computer adjustment and all is well. This problem also manifests itself with a clunk when downshifting from 2nd to first when slowing to a stop.

Thanks, I will bring it up at the next oil change. Less time at the dealer the better.
