Just picked up new XJR. Well, new to me. It's an '04, formerly owned by one of the Carolina Panthers. He took delivery on August 30, and then about two weeks ago traded it on a Mercedes of some sort.
I went to Scott Jaguar in Charlotte last Thursday w/ every intention of trading my BMW 530 on a VP w/ Nav. But couldn't find the color (colour?) I wanted, and the salesman said that they had this great deal on an XJR, and the rest is history.
It's Platinum/blk w/ the 20" Sepang wheels, Pirelli PZeros, Nav. When I drove it away from the dealership Thursday evening, it had 3602 miles on it. What a vehicle! Truly the iron fist in the velvet golve!
I'm leaving on a 7-day roadtrip to Florida tomorrow am. I'll hopefully have a pretty good idea of how to work everything when I get back.

Congratulations! I picked up my 04 XJR under similar circumstances. The previous owner ordered the "top of the line with everything." He didn't realize that was an XJR. He hated it and traded it in on an 04 VDP. It's a great feeling when someone else takes that first year depreciation!

I hope your XJR turns out to be as outstanding as mine. It's been complete bliss since I took delivery three months ago.

Congrats. The more I drive mine, the more I realize what a superior car it is compared to my '99. Isn't it nice to have real cupholders?

XJRs are sweet, especially the new ones! I had a '99 and I still miss it, traded it and got an '02 M3 SMG.

Someday I'll get back into the XJR...
