Hi all, i am planning on buying old diesel and i found one for 1000
bucks with 220.000 km 300d 1983 white no rust auto and i found 300sd
with 200.somthing as per owner he wants 1000 bucks for it but the car
has no radio and ignition lock is smashed i did not go to see them
yet but i will.
So which model do you think is more economical and what should i look
for before i buy one ?

Buy the car with the LEAST RUST .

...and the one that drives straight, steers tight, brakes smooth, all the climate control functions working correctly, shifts correctly, the best condition seats , and has an up-to-date maintanence Booklet in the glovebox.

Happy Hunting,

Eveb back then, the 300sd had Chrylser electronics for
climate control in the export (USA) models. Very bad.
Don't ask how I know. Be very certain you have all
repair history and that the climate control works perfect.
