this is the only missing 1/87 5 series in my collection. I just completed the 1/43 scale collection of 5 series.
Thanks, Russell

... there are a few \'issues\' with it.

First, although I am as certain as I can be that it\'s an E28, it\'s *labeled* as a 1978 528i - which would have been an E12. However, the taillights, decklid, hood, roof vents, and grille are all unmistakably E28.

Second, I only ever found the one - and it was in a little model shop in a tiny Alpine Italian village I am sure I couldn\'t locate now.

It says \"Serie 70\" on the base and there are markings from a W. German manufacturer I can\'t make out without much more magnification. I\'ll see what I can do.--

Mine is dark green with gold Alpina striping and front spoiler. It is made by Herpa. It states 528i on the black plastic bottom. I have never seen an e28 in 1/87 scale. From your post it looks as if there may be somthing out there!

Thanks.
Thanks, Russell

Not near my inventory, but this was either a ebay or Mini bimmers purchase.

Have not seen it on e-bay or any of the usual sources.
Thanks, Russell
