Would you buy a 2 series Coupe?

We've all read the tantalizing stories about the 2 Series coupe -- an
E30-sized return to BMW's sporting coupe roots, with no iDrive and a price
well under $30,000--set to come out in 2006. BMW of NA has nixed the 1
Series four-door hatchback for the U.S. market and is considering how to
treat the 2 Series coupe. If you would buy this wonderful car, please
e-mail Tech Talk; we will put your input in front of the right eyes at BMW.
And if you would buy a four-cylinder turbocharged version instead of a
six-cylinder, tell them that, too! YOU MUST INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND TOWN;
anonymous e-mails and those not setting forth city/town and state will be
deleted, wasting both your time and ours. -- MM <>

There are definitely a beautiful array of cars available this upcoming 2005 model year among them the C6 Corvette, Ford Mustang (Complete re-design from Fox platform, Acura RL, etc.
Considering the 2006 3/4 Series will be out by the end of next year with no decrease in price, I would love to purchase the 2-series.
With the 1-series unavailable in the states (I would not suspect it doing well based on how previous 318s have done)...the BMW name carried on the 2-series, in my opinion, would do very very well. It would bring in a good crop of buyers otherwide opting for Acura TSX/RSX, Audi A4, 2006 IS300....
A 6 cylinder addition is a must....

In closing, I would love to buy the 2 series in the range of 25-30K...with a 6 cylinder...

I would love to get my hands on a 2-series, 25-35k with a four or six, as long as the looks and suspension are there.

Current info says no 2-series but a 116/118/120ci

Hard to imagine any new BMW being a beauty :(. The chassis of the 5-door is good, I hope they make it better still for the 3&2-door models. They hopefully have lower roof and sleeker (=more sporty) front and bum than the awful looking 5-door which looks too tall and big.
We have to wait 1 yr for the 3dr and 2 yrs for the cabrio/coupe.. I can't wait!

would like to purchase a brand new bimmer without the brand new bimmer price.
me and tons of my bimmer head friends would buy this car.

an M version would be even tastier, but insurance would kill me, soo...give me a base 220 and tons of aftermarket goodies..
