Hi all, just finished the install of Blitz's DCII Turbo Timer. What a great unit! I was surprised at how easy it was! Took a couple of hours (not counting runs to the store to get rubber grommets to pass the hose through the seatbelt cover and left side fiberglass engine compartment wall). The unit is small and "dimmable" so it compliments the dash well - I installed it centered in the dash low, between the speedo and tach. All the wires I needed came off the ignition switch except for ground where I used the bolt that holds the steering column cover bracket. I couldn't find the parking brake wire - so I grounded it and defeated the safety switch - if anyone knows how to get to it or where it is under the dash, I'd appreciate it! All in all, it looks great, gives me exact boost pressure (I'm installing a "#5" chip which takes me to 1.2 bar) and lets the car idle down appropriately without me having to sit in it. 2 thimbs up!

Where is it?! (Or how do you get to it?)

I will install this unit on my 88 when it arrives. Before you had the unit, how long did you let the car idle after driving it to let it cool?

But there were times time or situation did not permit - the turbo timer makes it easy - just make sure your parking brake is good and you are on a flat surface!

I just printed off the installation instructions from Lotus Esprit World and took everything to my Lotus Dealer and had them install it along with some other things I was having done.

I would imagine they just followed the instructions I gave them from that web site in conjunction with the directions accompanying the kit.

By the way, I always set the timer for 2 minutes after normal driving around town (no high extended RPMs) and 5 minutes after 'spirited' driving. How do you guys compare with you timer settings?

Phil
