As I read quite all of theese topics (http://www.s14.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=43) I just couldnt understand, why everyone is saying alpha N is better than MAF kits?

Finally I have found
this article (http://www.bayareamotorsport.com/alphan.html) and after read it, I just dont understand why better to count out how much air is travelling to our engine than measuring it correctly?

All of you guys have to know that I m very young (and my english is not the best) at this story, so sorry if its trivial.

Any explataion for my stupid mind is welcome!!!

its fundamental advantage lies in the fact that there's no obstruction in the path of the air on its way into the combustion chamber and you can make the intake diameter way larger than using a mass air sensor (which are typically below 80mm in diameter).
