Does anyone have a sneek picture of the 2006 ML. Our dealer assures us there will be a diesel 2006 ML that will be available in the later part of 2005. We have put a deposit down on the first one he gets -- if they get one? Our delima is that we know not what it will look like!

Mabye you should be a little smarter and not blindly give money to a dealer becuase he "assures" you of something. Don't worry, they won't run out. If you want a diesel right now, get the Touareg V10 TDI

Bob, I AM NOT STUPID! We have our 2001 ML sold and it is important to get a replacement as soon as possible. The deposit only got us first place on the "right of refusal" list and is completly refundable -- sorry to disapoint you!

Have you seen the 2005 Land Rover LR3?

I was initially taken with the looks, but the Land Rover weighs about 1,000 lb more than the ML which hurts performance and fuel economy. 7-sp. vs. 6-sp. Low range optional on ML. Also, I'm sure they're improving, but LR has been in the toilet for reliability and service. Unless you need 7-pass. seating or extreme off-road performance, the ML looks to be a better package. ******>

at the earliest. The new ML debuts next week at the NAIAS in Detroit, so it will be all over the media in the next couple months. You should be able to drive one at a dealer (350 or 500) by March. There should be European test reports of the diesels before you are able to actually order one.

The new V8s should be out late this year, as well, with the AMG 63 following next.******>
