Awhile back made a post asking you guys what you thought about selling my Audi for an M3. Well I finally decided to go for it and I am now looking to purchase an M3. I have done a lot of searching and came up with some really good information. I have about $12-13K to spend on a car. I am a capable mechanic so I am looking for a car in good shape but am not afraid to get my hands dirty. I am partial to the white cars but due to the fact that I haven't seen too many for sale in my price range I am willing to purchase a car in any color.

I found a car today that has 220K on it but has a rebuilt engine. The owner is asking $10k. Should I stay away from this car regaurdless of the new engine? What mileage is exceptable on a $12k car? Thanks for the help guys

That is a lot of miles for the price in my opinion. It really depends on what type of rebuild was done and what paperwork they have to prove the work was done. Even still, you would want to check the car out.

To put things into my perspective, this year I purchased a 68K mile, one owner, southern M3 for $11.2K. My first one had 121K on it, and I paid $9K. Take your time and find the right one. For $12-13K, you can find a decent one - it just takes time.

I located in Los Angeles, but I already sold my Audi. It was an A4

I got it off ebay. I offered the guy 12K to end early. he thought he would get more than the 12K offer. I could not believe that i was not outbid at 11.2K. I was the high bidder (and last bidder) for the last 10 minutes.

I've been kinking around the idea of getting more heavily into tracking a car. So, I may be interested in selling my M3. It is a early euro 1987 (7/22/86 build date) WBAAK010X00842046, 68k miles, rebuilt engine 8k ago, cloth interior. I'm asking $13,500 for the car and it is located in St. Louis, MO.

Ahh, I remember when that E30 tech was a young lad, good to see how he spends his time and how mature he has grown up on roadfly here!

You know that that sh!t was funny. That is our own Blunt on the E30 board posing in his SPAM Halloween Costume.

If you didn't find it funny, lighten up - it was a joke. You'll sell the car.

Dont forget it.

Thats right - Avi hit the nail on the head.

I see you are selling your M3 - what made you decide to? WTF happened to your website?

I am selling it... well not activly...but because it is just sitting around, i dont drive it I think i drove it about 10 times this whole summer and in the next few weeks i have to winterize it and put her back in.

I am paying for the garage and insurance ... like 200 a month total...not worth it right now .... I need to buy a house soon and would like to get a Henna red M3 in a year or two...

For some reason the page wouldn't load last night.

If you sell it, you'll regret it. It is hard to find a true Henna in good shape.

They are the "oldest" of the E30 M3s.......but then again maybe I go for the Bling and get an 850ci another one of my dream cars....what ever im not in a rush.

Hey, it might be funny... What's really funny is that you don't remember who was the first person to welcome you here. Now I'm leaving and so it goes...
