Visiting from the Z3M Coupe board. Looking to transition from performance street tires to r-compounds. All tire manufacturers recommend shaving, but I can't find anyone local to New England that can or will shave a tire. Any help here?

Thanks

from the Tirerack. While you're at it, get them heat-cycled too. I think shaving will set you back $15 or so, so it's not a bad deal. And they know how to do it, as they probably do thousands upon thousands of sets a year. You're not running R compound on the street are you? I figure you're not, but I've heard rumors that some have done it.
