Probably not very useful, considering that we don't have rear struts.

Rear strut braces in cars with rear struts help prevent unwanted dynamic alignment changes caused by the movement of the upper strut mount relative to the wheels.

These braces in non-strut cars, like ours, might help stiffen the chassis some, allowing the suspension to act more like a suspension, but the effect is secondary, not primary.

But I'm certain we'll see all sorts of replies that say "Mine is great, couldn't live without it!" without any sort of numerical backup. People like to justify their purchases even when it doesn't make sense.

to lend me some instruments to take some chassis flex measurements but it did not happen and wont happen this year...

All i know is that with the rear seats out you can hear some flex back there

I don't know if he posted that or just mentioned it to me on the phone. He's got a D---N one with a piece of duct tape over it if I'm not mistaken.

Don't forget... we may not have struts in the rear, but you can bet the whole area around the shock and upper spring perch are pretty heavily reinforced... so if you tie the shock mounts together, it's going to have some positive effect on the surrounding metal...

I'll make one out of a broom handle and get back to you all. :-P

regards to noise reduction i.e. squeaks and other flexing noises

there, and i decided to throw it in....

it did quiet things up...the creaks that come with not running rear seatbacks...

the rear seatbacks do act as a support, without them, obviously there is a huge hole....all i merely wanted to do, was see if the brace did anything as far as supporting the hole that was there....

prior to installing it....i used it to fetch tools that fell behind the workbench....
