Need some help - got a 2004 V8 SRX which did not have the towing package; I purchased a Draw-Tite factory-style hitch for about $140 and installed it (not for the faint of heart - I have a hobby lift in my garage or else I would not have tried this - took 5 hours and brute force thanks in part to lousy instructions) but now I need the wiring kit. I would prefer not to go to the dealer if there is an aftermarket source out there that has a simple plug-in adapter (no wires to splice). Can't find a wiring kit that doesn't require splicing - any ideas?

If you don't have your wiring kit yet email me. I've got a trailer hitch co. that I know of that has what you need. I own a 04SRX and they got all that you need.

Did you have to cut the plastic bumper to fit the Draw-Tite hitch?

Or does the hitch fit below the bumper?

Thanks

The best advice would be to visit your dealer.
