Who has done the Red Hose and Chip Replacements?

What # chip did you use?

Have you done the Red Hose replacement yourself or had it done professionally?

Anyone done the Dump Valve for the 4cyl Turbo?

I have the #2 chip (essentially a stock chip with the 3k rpm stumble fixed and the #5 chip. I have not run with either yet - I am in the process of installing the chip holder now (since my car is in storage for the winter). I did a lot of research - and am told to be careful with 2nd gear - and that the S4S is better equipped to handle the increased HP with more robust brakes and drivetrain (from the sport 300). I'm anxious to try it. What is the red hose replacement?

The Red Rubber/Plastic Hose gets hot and expands. The following replacement procedure addresses the issue and better shifting is a result of this replacement.

I have not done the red hose replacment but I do have one to go in. My red hose has yet to give me any troubles so I will not replace it until it does. of course, now that I have a replacement SS line for the just in case, it will never fail. :)

I am running Chip #6, red race. I have repviously run #5 (330HP) and #3 (hi-TQ). I recommend a jump to chip #5 for anyone thinking about doing a chip upgrade. All the others pale in comparison and the Esprit is more than capable of handling the power, minus the clutch maybe. I also have a replacement (+35% clutch from PUK and lightened flywheel from JAE) ready to go in when mine fails. Again, because I have the parts, the stocker will last forever :)

Dump valve I have as well. Sounds cool, which is about the only thing a BOV is really good for. It probably adds a few miles to the turbo due to wear and tear as well, but the main reason why you put it on is to sound cool. :)
