Is there a Chome Exterior Retrofit Kit for the Convertibles? Or at least the part for the rollover bars and hinges. I don't care much for the chrome mirrors.

How are the four pieces for the chrome roll bar cover installed? Does it require any tools or adhesives?

Thanks in advance!

Any chance that there's an update on the installation of the chrome roll bars for the MCC?

Thanks in advance!

I have installed the chrome replacements. You need to take out the plastic plug at the rear of the headrests and remove the two screws, one behind each headrest. This will allow you to remove the headrests. Once the headrests are removed carefully pry the plastic body apart by carefully prying the clips apart. The covers snap together as do the covers on the roll bars. Replace with the chrome covers , clip them together and then clip the whole units together, replace the headrests and enjoy. I wish someone had told me instead of trial and error. I hope this helps.

Thank you VERY MUCH for the post. MINI doesn't even have instructions listed on the company service bulletin site!!!! We have one of THE BEST MINI tech in the country and he hadn't been told or shown the instructions to perform this (I asked)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The web is a wonderful tool and MINI customers are amoung the most technically competent customers. You folks know about some of this stuff before we do (we HAVE to wait for the official word from the factory). Hope this helps and I know your posts help fellow MINI-istas. Thank you.
