I have a 2000 528i with 154K miles and took it for an oil change to JiffyLube. While the car was up noticed that the rear differential has oil around it. The guy working at JL won't even comment on it as they don't touch BMWs other than change oil and top up fluids.

What could it be? What am I looking in costs - just had my struts replaced, the radiatior is begining to leak and now this... :(

Here's the "socialist visionary" and 401(k) hater in an October 2008 radio interview. The important part comes around the 12:50 minute point: "spreading.... spreading the wealth..." She actually stammers when she's saying it, but she HAS to say it! This isn't about protecting us from the evil capitalists on Wall Street. It's about spreading our wealth.

http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/...man-in-america

I haven't seen any recent Teresa Ghilarducci interviews. Maybe she's finally learned to stay away from right-wing, talk-radio shows. She'd be safe on NPR, though.

Teresa (and Obama, and Ed Rusty Car, and Trevor) think those with enough intelligence to live within their means and accumulate wealth have an obligation to share our accumulated wealth with everybody else.

The socialists' plan is to put at least half of the country on some type of welfare, so they will vote for more and more welfare, paid for by fewer and fewer evil rich people.

Been thinking about doing this for a while, finally did it a couple weeks ago when I replaced all the coolant hoses in the 99 coupe. So far no problems whatsoever. Driven about 600 miles, a couple hundred on the highway with AC on, the rest has been city/highway. The engine temp gauge stays straight up but I have noticed the engine oil temp runs about 5F higher than it used to. When the engine is fully up to temperature there is some pressure in the hoses but not nearly as much as with conventional coolant. If this stuff keeps prevents the expansion tank/radiator/hoses etc. from failing from pressure it will be worth it. I'll post updates every couple months since long term performance is what counts. So far so good.

Hi, all

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a 2000 540i with Sport Package. It had 125K miles, was in pretty good condition, has the six speed, the powerful 4.4 liter V8, BBS RS wheels, navigation and a pretty kick-*** sound system (unfortunately, my car did not come with the Premium Sound option). So far, I've put about 1500 miles on it and have been almost completely blown away with how much more refined it is than any of the other American and Japanese cars I've owned up to this point. Long story short, I can see why BMW is known as the "Ultimate Driving Machine."

I'm pretty hands-on when it comes to maintaining my vehicles; so far I've purchased a Bentley service manual and have read up on the various online forums about potential trouble spots and known problems. So far, I've installed a Dice Silverline iPod interface and a couple of cupholders and rear trunk handle from ultimatecupholders.com. Reading this forum has given me some good ideas about other upgrades and maintenance issues I will doubtless have to tackle in the months ahead.

In the meantime, I've got a couple of questions to which searching has not availed me an answer:

1. When I was on my way home about an hour and a half into the drive (I bought this car in Issaquah, WA about two and a half hours north of where I live), the CD player suddenly stopped working, the FM radio would turn off, and the finally the nav screen shut off. I called the guy I bought it from and he said he'd never had a problem with the sound system or nav screen. Once I got home, the nav screen wouldn't turn on, it just had the snowy look of a TV channel that has no reception. The next morning, while trying to figure out what the heck was wrong, I pulled out the fuse in the trunk that controls the CD player/navigation system/radio, and looked at it closely to see if it was blown/corroded/something was wrong. Not seeing anything obvious, I plugged it back in. I turned the car on, hoping that the fuse was the culprit but not expecting it to be. To my surprise, the nav screen turned on and the CD player and radio worked fine. I haven't any problem with them working while the engine is running since, but twice I've noticed that when I open the door and get into the driver's seat the nav screen has that snowy look. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just replace the fuse?

2. I've noticed that once out of three or four times when I start the engine, the starter makes an odd whining sound. It's not a grinding or a clicking; it sounds like the bendix isn't disengaging quite as quickly as it should. When it happens, it doesn't last for more than about a second after the car has started. What could be the cause of this?

3. When I was installing my Dice Silverline iPod interface, I noticed what appeared to be a speaker wire soldered into one of the wires that is on the driver's side of the trunk beneath the navigation drive cover. It was routed through the trunk, under the rear seat, along the passenger side floor rails and into the fuse panel under the glove box. Rather than being one continuous wire, it was made up of about three short pieces, all clumsily spliced together. I disconnected it and the speakers didn't work. I didn't get any error messages through the computer, and when I hooked it back up, everything worked fine. Has anyone else noticed any problems with (what I assume is) the amplifier power wire?

4. The biggest negative about the car is it has a slight oil leak coming from what appears to be the front of the heads. Is this a common problem?

TIA and I look forward to being a member of the Roadfly community.

Hi everyone,

Totally new to this forum, hope I find the knowledgeable ones here :-)

I just bough a 1995 XJ6 VDM 6 in line with 89 K miles 1 owner

When I start the engine (starts fine) all the dashboard warning lights and all the fauges starts flickering on and off. It looks like a Xmas eve lights in Hong Kong or London !!

Everything goes on and off more or less every 1 or 2 seconds. Sometimes a bit longer. Sometimes all works fine for 1 or 2 seconds

Engines runs good

If I step on the gas pedal (in P our N) the tach needles jumps back to zero and wants yo go even further (backwards)

I was told to disconnect the alternator and try. No changes
I was told to disconnect the 2 battery leads and touch them together (away from the battery) to reset computer. No changes
I was told (in another forum) that it most probably is a faulty ignition/spark plus coil. I got ione and I will try this this afternoon

I hadn't bought a jaguar since my V12 HJ back in the 90's
I have had a large number of jags throughout the years and never encountered any problems before.

So today I am seeking your help

Thanks in advance

Claude

Hi,

My wife has an imaculate 1997 Z3. Unfortunatly while the car was laid up over the winter a mouse decided to take up residence in the air filter box, using the foam liner as its bed. When I opened the air box to change the filter before she started using the car the mess was quite spectacular.

The foam liner is destroyed and I would like to find a source for a new liner.

We are in British Columbia.

Thanks

At start-up this morning when I turned the ignition key I got the message: "EEPROM-KI" in the MID display where the CHECK warning notifications are routinely posted. The "message" stayed on for maybe 10 seconds and went away. I've searchd this board and a few other boards and this same message has appeared for others and like mine, just went away. There were no associated Error Messages; no warning lights; and no anything else to suggest there is any kind of a problem in the making. Still, inquiring minds want to know. I bet Jim Cash knows the answer to this one - wherever he is.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/08/opinio...ent/index.html

Here's the great socialist intellectual, Dr. Ghilarducci...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VehHj...eature=related

She's being interview my Mark Levin, getting boxed to admitting that your money is really "our" money... the socialist way! She wants the gooberment to do with your 401(k) what they did with the hundreds of thousands of dollars you threw down the Social Security/Medicare hole... give it to somebody else.

Here's Time magazine...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SNoZ...eature=related

All of these socialists claim that 401(k)'s are a big tax break for evil rich people. Rember how it first was the evil top one percent? Now, it's the evil top 20%, or maybe the evil top 40%.

401(k)'s give EVERYBODY the same tax breaks that those with lavish pensions (partiularly gooberment workers) get. When somebody with a lavish pension works a day, month, year, etc., their employer sets aside money to pay that worker's lavish pension... someday. That money sits around earning interest tax-deferred UNTIL the worker receives their pension.

But, the SEIU, AFL-CIO, and other socialists don't want the evil top 40% to have what they have. There's nobody more greedy than a socialist.

My wife and I plan to take the Z3 on our annual road trip - this year to Mesquite NV in late July. Leaving Seattle area, heading toward Boise Idaho, Salt Lake and down thru central Utah. Hope to see many of the national parks in the area and after a week return via central Nevada for two nights in Mammoth Lakes CA with a day at Yosemite. Home via Reno, Susanville, Klammath Falls, Bend. Route is still somewhat negotiable, so suggestions are most welcome.

In the last ten years we have taken several trips to Tahoe, Park City UT and So Cal. last year to San Diego, hugging the coast as much as possible. Just what roadsters were made for.
Cheers

Taking the Z out once again for a spring trip - Last year was down to Texas for Fred's annual drive, this year Julie and I are on our own for a bit of vacation and a family event.

Destination is in Connecticut, at the Coast Guard Academy for a nephew's Graduation on Wednesday. The route is here, to Madison, WI, then Erie PA, then two nights in Watkins Glen, then two nights in Connecticut (Uncasville of all places). After the graduation, we head out of there on Thursday to Schenectady, NY, Niagara Falls (the Canadian side), Muskegon, IL, and then Sunday we take the ferry across Lake Michigan to Milwaukee and back home.

Should be a lot of fun - I hope to be able to post some pictures here as I go, but am NOT taking a computer, so I'll have to depend on the facilities of the various hotels. We shall see how it goes.

Nothing like a good Z trip to start the spring off right!

Clutch has never been replaced and it does feel a little soft. Transmission? If I need a new transmission and clutch how much have people paid? Anything else it could be? No error codes have been thrown.

Put the on new front rotors, pads and brake fluid flush last night. Used Centric Cryo treated rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Car stops like crazy now; stopped great before, just better now and now no more shimmy while braking at highway speeds. So nice to have smooth braking again. Next up, repair valley pan leak and replace a crap load of rear suspension parts to get rid of the bad tramlining I am experiencing. On the rear menu: left rear upper control arm, both lower ball joints, integral links and install the bushing camber kit bought last year for the lower control arms. Any words of advise on any of these repairs?

ok, new to this forum.

A bit of history, a good friend has an '02 x type 2.5 petrol, it was running great til the cold weather kicked in, january'ish. it started by just clicking when the key was turned to engage the starter, then it progressed on to engine management light and the engine going in to limp mode. We had the car diagnosed and it told us that no5 cylinder coil pack was down, we replaced this, it is better but it still splutters and puts on the management light, the thing is, the car runs better with the engine management light on. Has anyone encountered this before?

P.S we do have another code P1642, but the fuel supply seems to be fine.

Thanks in advance

David

This is a strange situation that I do not know how to handle. I had some work done on the car to include buffing the front headlamps. The left front signal bulb was not working and when I pulled the holder out of the headlight, the bulb was gone. I put in a spare and it fell inside the headlamp. When I tried to reach in to get it, the original one was in there. Now I have two bulbs down inside the front headlamp and I don't know how to get it out. A repair shop told me it would cost $250 and they have to take the whole bumper and headlamp out. Does anyone have an idea of how to get those pesky bulb out of there?

This year the Northern California Bimmer Fest Caravan is back and better than ever as the new Bavarian 500. Join us in our rally south Friday May 18th 2012, and enjoy cars, food, community, and over 500 miles of pure driving pleasure.

The Rally kicks off Friday May 18th at the Gilroy Lowes (7151 Camino Arroyo, Gilroy, CA 95020). Check in time is 7:30 and departure time is 8:30. Please be on time so that we can get everyone checked in. At check in we will be distributing vinyl window numbers for all entrants. The number you recieve will be noted with your registration so that you can retain the same number for next year. A food truck will also be there to serve up food before we kick off. Please bring a two way radio for the drive.

We will be traveling down south via the 101. The route is available by clicking the map on our homepage. We have arranged two pitstops: the first for gas and coffee and the second for lunch.

On Friday and Saturday night we will be staying at Pasadena/Monrovia Courtyard Marriott (700 West Huntington Drive · Monrovia, California 91016 USA). A group rate has been arranged and the rates will be $94 per night for a room with a King bed and $104 per night for a room with two Queen beds.

The King room can be reserved by following this link: http://www.marriott.com/hotels/trave...toDate=5/20/12
Rally numbers will be given out at random for free, however, requests for specific numbers can be processed with a $6.00 printing fee.

September 12 1995 - The most significant event of the year was the unveiling of the Elise, (named after the granddaughter of Chairman, Romano Artioli), at the Frankfurt Auto Show. To the obvious delight of the press and public the Elise was not only pretty, it was technically advanced and super-light at 675 kg. Its composite and energy absorbing chassis was made from epoxy-bonded aluminium extrusions, a world FIRST, as were its extruded aluminium suspension uprights and aluminium metal-matrix brake discs. It promised breathtaking performance (0-60mph in 5.8secs) for a price of less than £20,000.

Immediately billed as "star of the Show", Elise earns praise from onlookers, and many advance orders are taken. First deliveries are expected mid 1996.

Had an Asian guy in an early 90's Volvo Wagon hit the back of the M3 this morning (a statement of fact in 2 regards – he was and Asians do tend to be highly represented in the “hopeless control of motor vehicles” category that I observe).

In start-stop traffic queuing for a red/green light the traffic started and stopped again and over the SOUND from the after-market Alpine Stereo I hear BANG and feel the jolt from a rear end hit.

So get out of the car (so does he) and walk around to the rear of the M3 expecting to see $$$$$ but to my amazement just some black rubber scuffing from his bumper and no damage or bumper hanging off one end at all.

The energy absorbing bumper shock absorbers in the chassis must have worked as the bang was pretty loud and the bumper assembly must be so well designed and tough that no damage resulted. Perhaps 2 little bits of paint deformation on the lower edges of the plastic bumper, but nothing that looks out of place on an 18 year old car.
The speed of the collision must have also been low enough but the BANG was very audible to my deaf ALPINED ears.

A good rub with a towel will see his rubber marks come off and it should be good. I told him to use his eyes and that he was lucky. But I’m the lucky one to be driving the E36 M3 with the energy absorbing bumpers.

PowerBall prize is $20 Million tonight so perhaps my luck has slightly increased.

I have e39 2002 525i and recently I noticed that "angel eyes" on the left side (both lights) do not work at any setting (low/high beam, parking, etc.). There are no warning/engine lights on at all - none.

How can I diagnose what the problem is?

Can the "angel eyes" be replaced/changed if they are "burned out"?
Is there a fuse/relay that needs to be replaced?

Any help would be appreciated....

Hi

Car is 2002 M54 525 with 84,000mls running Castrol Edge (Europe) 5/40w and running very well apart from high oil consumption. Currently it's averaging between 800/1400 mls per litre.

We bought the car 5 years ago at 42K and it was using oil then (about 1500/2000mls/litre) and also had a ticking noise from the engine. So, at about 44k the dealer replaced the CCV only (not the pipework) under warranty and this cured the noise but oil consumption seemed to stay the same. Despite 8 to 10k oil changes since then consumption has increased to where it's at now.

The question is.........should I be looking at changing the CCV again (but with the pipework too this time) or should I be looking for another source of the problem ?

Has anybody here done an E39 CCV, if so, how DIY is it ? I've read various DIY's for CCV replacement (most with good results) but they tend to focus on the E46 which has more restricted access to the engine for this job so it would be nice to think the E39 might be more straightforward.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Eddie

Then going home today as it was lovely I put the roof down and it started to lift and then stopped for no reason. After about half an hour got the hood to go back down but when I got home had the same problem closing it as would not shut ccompletely. Again after a while it shut. Has anyone had this problem please help. New to forum.

Hi I am new to this forum. I am trying to change the outer door handle on my 2005 and am a little confused about how to gain access to the inner door. The CD sort of explains how to remove the inner door panel but is so vague that I am none the wiser after reading it. Anybody here done it and can explain the step by step procedure. I really don;t want to damage anything.

Hi there - I am new to Jag's and have not long had a 1998 R reg XJ8. It came with a number of niggles which I am working my way through, learning how the Jag works as I go.. crossover pipe replaced, shot thermostat replaced, aerial confirmed as needing replacement etc.. :-) And I love it.. sort of a project to get things right on it.. I'm currently looking at a problem with the lefthand side of three cluster of dials having no backlight.. it is literally as if someone drew an invisible line down from approx 90mph on the speedo and eveything from there to the left has no backlight. It is a clean division between the lit and unlit halves.. should I be stripping out the instrument dials or looking elsewhere? I am just cautious as I am sure I read somewhere that there is a box that controls the lights on the cluster - but I dont know if it controls them in two halves or if it is going to be the cluster.. any help very much appreciated

RGR wheels. I purchased 4 wheels about 3 years ago and they been in my Southern CA garage until early fall when I put them on my 8er (hub centric rings were not required on my E31). They are in good condition with no bends or curb rash. There is slight cosmetic damage (scratches/paint chips) but are as I purchased them. The "spare" wheel is good but not perfect. I bought the spare from a wheel shop's old inventory. I also have 4 extra NOS RD center caps that I will include.

Hope someone can help, I've tried everything and everyone I know and no luck. After installing a new battery the radio deck still reads CODE even after retrieving the serial number on the back and getting the code from the bmw dealer and inputting it over and over again. As recommended by the dealer, the user manual and by others I've tried leaving the key in the ignition for over an hour and it still does not work. My independent mechanic said that it can sometimes reset after being in the ignition for 4 hours but it might drain my battery. This forum is my last attempt before I decide to buy a new stereo, which is not worth it as it is an old car but driving in silence is driving me crazy. Appreciate any input and suggestions! Thanks in advance!

Went out to dinner last night and when we came back out to the parking lot, the 02 530 was sitting there with all 4 windows totally down, the sunroof open, and unlocked. When I left it, I did the normal kind of half looking back and pressed the lock button once and heard the little chirp. I can't say if the windows went down at that point as I didn't look back at the car.

Anyone ever had this happen ? FWIW the battery is about 8 months old (I know from past experience it can do weird stuff when batt goes flaky).

2000 528i Sport
137,000 miles

Hello All,

I've been a lurker for years and an infrequent poster on this board. I used to be pretty heavily involved in the E36 forum when I had my '95 318i but I haven't been much of a contributer here. I have searched the forum endlessly and have overloaded my head with loads and loads of info which has messed my mind up.
I have a misfire situation on cyl #5 that I can not seem to solve/correct. I first had codes for the O2 sensors alone and then with mulitple misfires (cyl 3 & 5) which I corrected with replaceing the intake elbows between the MAF and TB. They had multiple tears. A week or so later the P0305 (Actron Code Reader) code came up and this is what I've done so far.

1) swapped the coil to another cylinder. Same P0305 code.
2) swapped plug to anothjer cylinder. Same P0305 code.
no oil in any plug wells
3) swapped the injector to another cylinder while replacing all the injector o-rings. Same P0305 code.

I can drive the car like and old man and it's fine. Once I give about 3/4 pedal (under load) I can feel the stutter and miss and the code pops up. I've pulled back the boot to see if there may be a break or kink in the wiring and have also checked the coil grounds, all seems fine.
I'm an absolute moron when it comes to diagnosing electrical gremlins, so this has me totally stumped.
I haven't gone near the MAF, fuel pump/pressure/filter, or O2 sensors, since I would assume, I would have misfires with all the cylinders.

I'd really love to avoid the dealership. Last year I had them diagnose an ABS/DSC issue and they quoted a bad ABS pump and $1800+ for repairs. I went the Module Masters route for $300 and all is good.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, because I'm ready to take a baseball bat to the old girl. That's after my wife beats me down with the bat first.

Thanks,
TR

I'm willing to glady give up all the "toursim revenue" we get from Pakistan and Yeman, Fareed.

If Barak Hussein Obama gets re-elected, expect this bunch to start dismantling the infrastructure that has kept another 911 from happening for eleven years.

Remember how Janet-from-another-planet Nopolitano, Secretary of Homeland Security, said we "need to move away the politics of fear," replacing the word "terrorism" with "manmade disasters?" Don't expect her to use the term "radical islamic terrorism," either. Instead, we'll keep frisking little kids and grandmas.

ZFest 2012 Registration is up and running. And in the interest of "Full Disclosure" I'm Club Secretary these days, so I offered to post the letter from the Club President David Weeks here to get the word out to all the Roadfly-ers who are not members or for some other reason haven't yet heard about the event.

ALL are welcome - Z3's, Z4's, Coupes of any stripe - come join us for a great time and a great summer trip! As usual, Zfest is being held over Labor Day Weekend, starting Thursday August 30th.

Here's the announcement:

It is once again the time of year we have all been waiting for. The excitement has been building for ZFest 2012, Greenville Coming Home, and it is now just around the corner. Once again this year’s event will be held at the birth place of many of your “Z’s” and that is Greenville, SC.

The ZFest planning committee is working diligently to put together an event that will satisfy every Z owner’s soul and more. Some of the day to day details have already been posted on the ZFest web page so please check it out at www.zfest.com. In the mean time, we suggest that you make your hotel reservations at our host hotel, The Embassy Suites Greenville either by going to the ZFest web page and following the link or by phone as there is a limited number of rooms available at the host hotel. Please continue to check back often on the ZFest 2012 web site as it will be updated as events are added and firmed up.

If you are planning a convoy or would like to join a convoy to this event, go to www.zfest.com and check out the Convoys section. There you will find info about which groups are planning their routes and departure times to the event.

While you are at ZFest, and in fact, during your trip to and from, we know that you will be taking tons of pictures of your adventures. If you would like to share your photos, we can help make that happen. Just send me an email and I will send you the upload link to the ZFest website for all your wonderful photo’s you would like to share with your fellow Z’ers. So, please continue to post them on your favorite forums, club web sites and other venue you use along with stories of your adventures. The clubs quarterly magazine, CruZin' NewZ would also love to include your photos and stories in it's next issue and I can help you with that.

As far as what you think is interesting to people, I guarantee that EVERYTHING will be interesting. For those who have attended in the past, it will be a fun trip down memory lane. For those who missed out, it will help them appreciate what they missed.

... just went out on me.
Atleast the pain is the same. These double-vanos issues make me less in love with my '01 530. I was considering an 2004-10 5 for the wife (or an 2006-11 3 series; X3 maybe). But my question is this: in '07 when they upgraded the engine to (N# ?), is the vanos issue resolved? If not, a Honda Accord runs for a couple 100K with few maint. issues.
Bummed; and can the relationship ever be the same? :)

I have an intermittent problem where the car won't start, won't turn over. The starter sounds like it's engaged, & tries to turn over, but goes whump & sounds like it doesn't go more than 1 tooth on the flywheel, almost like the engine is so far out of timing that it's keeping the motor from turning over. Other times the starter engages, does a couple cycles, then goes whump. Other times it cranks strong, then starts right up w/out a glitch. Sometimes when it doesn't start, I'll come back a hour or 2 later & it starts right up. When it cranks, it cranks fast & strong & then starts fast - normal. Battery is pretty new, terminals are clean, plenty of fluid in the cells. It doesn't ever sound like a "typical" solenoid prob where it clicks & chatters instead kicking in. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Feel free to email me.
Copy and paste it your browser. Guys im new here and lookng for some opinions. I own 1 of 2 Evosport/VF stage 4 supercharged " MCompressor they called it and badged a such) cars built during 2005 thru 2008. European Car did a cover feature on the car and you can view on attached link.Yes it took them forever but was worth the wait. See the attached article done for European car for specs. The car was back at Evosport from 2010 until last week for further upgardes to motor, clutch, software, etc. The car has about 35,000 original miles (34,000k before the motor and SC rebuild. The blueprinted handbuilt motor, SC, all internals, charge cooler etc.... have only 1000 est miles. If you know the cars history and were around during that time frame you may have some recollection of the project. See the European car link with complete article.
Feel free to ask any questions but you'll see all the upgrades and specs in the last page of ghe article. Evosport/VF and Brad (gone now) had over $100,000 into the car. (i didnt and only had about 25k into the motor upgrades) Evosport never released this product to the masses as they couldnt do it in a cost effective way. But they built an amazing machine. There is alot of additional info if you google Evosport or VF engineering Stage 4 Superchared M3.
MY QUESTION..... With those details does anyone have an opinion on the best way to market the car and what would the car bring if marketed right??
Thanks in advance.

All,
I have a 2007 Z4 Coupe with 41k miles and a manual transmission.

I noticed while stopped with the engine running, car in neutral, foot off clutch, a rattle coming from the transmission/engine area.

The rattle is similar to the noise heard when something hard is bouncing around in the dryer.

When I pushed the clutch pedal in the rattle stopped. Let it out rattle returns.

Is this normal?

Thanks

I am getting code p0300, and p0304. I replaced my spark plugs, wires, coil pack. I just replaced my spark plugs again 2,000 miles later with the most expensive plugs I could get. Now the idle is over 1,000 rpm's, but its still acting up a little bit. When I am on the road accellerating its fine. Just wondering if anything bad could be happening? When I replaced the spark plugs 1 was hot, and the others where cold down. That plug was burnt where the white is ontop of the metal where it turns in. Seems like 1 cylinder is hotter then the rest which makes me think a valve could be damaged, but I don't know much about that stuff.

I hate auto stop engine at lights and don't want to have to manually turn it off everytime I drive car. Is there a way to Set default to off. dealer says no but there has got to be a way to program it. I find it absurd to deal with the delay just to sag a few bucks in a 60000 car. Thanks

2001 530 auto-sport - 67K. About once a week it cranks 3X longer; then starts fine. Acceleration is like a diesel Rabbit. Once the revs DO get there (looking at watch - tick tick tick), it goes. Sport mode helps slightly. Did it again today. After sitting 3 hours, started fine - ran fine. Perfect now. In a week though .... AND ... eack week when it happens, it seems to be slightly worse. Just put in new cam sensors on intake and exhaust. In fact, the code said that's what's wrong. But after changing, THIS still happens once/week. Help me please before I trade for a Camry! (JK - never happen)
