Post such questions on the forum, so that everybody can read and reply. Also check the trans fluid, if it looks dark and not reddish and smells burnt, it could be a defective clutch pack, read here

You seem to have a lot of great insights. I would greatly appreciate your advice, please.

I have a BMW 735i, 1992, E32, automatic (the ZF 4HP-22) and it's no longer shifting into top gear, and when it's warm, it won't move the car when the lever is in reverse. When I rev it in reverse the TRANS PROGRAM light comes on in the instrument panel. I'm very curious as to what causes this, please ...
