not sure if this is the right forum. I have a 94 530I in amazing condition... everything works.... but the engine leaks oil... it is the head gasket... i am looking to replace the engine because I love this car.

There are two pick your part yards withing half a mile of each other just off PCH in Wilmington - about 25 minutes south of LA. There is also an ecology about a mile away. This is probably the densest grouping of yards in the LA area.

Los Angeles CA area salvage yards

I just learned that a close friend is travelling from Indiana to Los Angeles next week and will be stopping by each way to stay with us.

He will be driving a pickup truck and pulling a trailer, so I thought - what a great opportunity to buy some stuff for my E24 and save on shipping.

His business is in San Luis Obispo. He plans to head south to LA to get on I-40 east, so salvage yards toward the north or northeast of LA would be best, but contact info for any LA-based BMW yard would be appreciated.
