Re: BMW Unveils Z4 M Coupe Racing Kit Hello, I still can't find anyone at BMW to provide information on the Z4 coupe Motorsport kit. Would anyone have an e-mail address, contact name or phone number at either BMW Motorsport or BMW who can provide additional sales information. Thanks, Harold
Re: BMW Unveils Z4 M Coupe Racing Kit
I hope to have some news for you lads about this ca soon. Lips zipped for now...
I hope to have some news for you lads about this
Where is the link? The S54 has an iron-block which adds weight when compared to an aluminum block. BMW's M5 Product Information Guide says that the 5.0 liter V-10 weighs 240 kg/529 lbs.
Where is the link?
I think the M6 would be too heavy to race
Yeah, but that engine is very special. It is purpose built for racing and nothing else. The M3 S54 engine is a street engine. You could probably take 30 pounds off with just removing the AC components.
Yeah, but that engine is very special.
Just 326 pounds? Dyson's new AER V-8 (twin-turbo) engines that power both of its new Lolas weigh just 250 pounds.
Just 326 pounds?
Not sure, but the S54 Weighs 326lbs .com/engine_faq/][Oops!] Engine data 146Kg or 326lbs. I would bet the one going into the Z4 M R is going to weigh a bit less than that though.

Man, I hope so. That is a sweet looking car.
Re: BMW Unveils Z4 M Coupe Racing Kit I bet PTG would race it as the E90 M3 won't go into production for awhile.
Re: BMW Unveils Z4 M Coupe Racing Kit Thanks for the great pics. Rumors that PTG will run at least one of these in ALMS later in the year...hope they're true! Cheers
