Agree with Bruce, my '87 is original and is fine!

So, buy oem and as Ron says, "Set it and forget it!"

my original system is 18 years old

I wonder why yours is not lasting? What are those cows doing to your exhaust?

    stainless steel exhaust

Anyone know where to get a cat-back stainless steel exhaust system that does NOT sound louder than OEM? UUC's ultimate system is not available.
The other way to ask this is there an OEM cat-back that's stainless steel?
It really doesn't make sense to spend $700 every 5-6 years.
    Thanks.
