Re: For future ref Thanks again for all the info. I'll do my best to avoid this in the future.
Re: For future ref
Re: For future ref Best option is to plug-in a battery charger through the cigarette-lighter . If you are the origianl owner, BMW would have sent you a charger just for these problems. There are a lot of sensitive electrical components that may be damaged by hooking-up a charger directly to the battery while installed in the car. This is possibly even a problem in hooking-up to the terminals under the hood. If you charge the battery directly do it out of the car.
For future ref Option 2 is to hook a charger to the terminals under the hood. Then you can use your remote or the footwell button.

Re: Help Dead Battery If you can get into the car look behind the passenger seat. Open DVD with the key then remove the fuse box cover and pull the rear (? reasonably sure it's the rear one) ring that you'll find there. there are two rings. the other one releases the phone cover. so it is not a big problem if you pull the wrong ring!
Help Dead Battery I just decided to go for a ride and my battery is dead. I cannot get into the trunk to get to battery. Any help i appreciated. Thanks,Cecil
